About the Authors

I am currently a medical student living on the east coast who enjoys science, politics, music, and good beer. I am skeptical of organized religion and big government, and support allowing individuals to decide what is best for themselves.

I’m Lily’s husband, which is probably the best thing I’ve got going for me.  I also enjoy science, politics, music and beer (doesn’t “good” seem like a redundant adjective).  I’m no longer in school, but I’m still definitely a student.  I’m currently trying to learn how to play guitar and pass actuarial exams.  One is fun, the other pays well.  Both hurt my fingers.  As far I’m concerned, no one has ever said it better than Patrick Henry: “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Thank you for your kind comments about my blog, Abducens Nucleus. Your medical school faculty and colleagues will not be so kind about your own efforts to expose the falacies inherent in socialized health care. Unfortunately, our medical schools have become bastions of liberal social nostrums, including nationalization of our health care system. You will find the real medical world to be much more candid about the challenges facing American health care.
Stand your ground and stay informed as you are doing.
I have posted the second part in my series today.
    Best regards
